Advocacy & Education: Shaping the Future of Hospitality

From strategic leadership discussions to fostering the next generation of industry talent, this two-day event focuses on building a stronger future for hospitality in Pennsylvania. 

Your voice and leadership are the driving forces behind our efforts to protect, promote, and advance the hospitality industry. Day 1 is all about leadership in action, with important discussions that set the course for our Association's future.

Held at the iconic Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State, the day begins with the PRLA Educational Foundation Board Meeting to plan programs that invest in our next generation of leaders. The Policy Committee Meeting follows, focusing on key legislative challenges and strategies to advocate for our members and small business owners. The PRLA Board of Directors will end the business portion of the day and will discuss priorities and initiatives to strengthen the industry. 

Cap off Day 1 with a special evening at RE Farm Café in support of PRLAEF. Enjoy a farm-to-table dining experience while supporting programs that develop future hospitality leaders. Nestled in a picturesque setting, RE Farm Café offers the perfect atmosphere for meaningful connections and shared purpose. 

Day 2 moves to the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center and shines a spotlight on the future of our industry as we celebrate the 11th annual PA ProStart Student Invitational. This year, 140 talented high school students will showcase their culinary, hospitality management, and cake decorating skills in an exciting competition that highlights their passion and potential. Before the action begins, immerse yourself in the excitement by watching the highlight reel from last year's event. Join us to cheer on this year's competitors and witness the impact of our commitment to hospitality education.

Registration is required to attend the business meetings on Feb. 26 and the PA ProStart Student Invitational on Feb. 27, both of which are free. Optional ad-ons include the offsite PRLAEF dinner at RE Farm Café for $125 per person and the ProStart Awards Luncheon for $25. These ad-ons provide additional opportunities to support the future of our industry.
